The one-week Training of Trainers (ToT) under the MSDP programme took place at the EDII campus in Ahmedabad from August 19 to August 23, 2024. This intensive programme, which included various sessions on branding, marketing for small and medium enterprises, business planning for micro-enterprises, digital marketing, quality parameters for micro-enterprise products, and an overview of WeAct and future directions, saw participation from EDII coordinators and implementing partners.

Mr. Samuel Moses Amarnath, Head of WeAct, conducted three sessions during the MSDP ToT. In his first session, Mr. Samuel introduced the newly launched EDII application for data collection, detailing its step-by-step usage and its role in helping coordinators seamlessly gather data from their regions. His second session focused on how WeAct supports medium and small-scale entrepreneurs through services such as market linkage, product and business development, financial literacy, and technological support, including social media and website creation. He also highlighted that over 14,000 women entrepreneurs are currently registered with WeAct, which encouraged participants to promote WeAct’s support for women in their regions. The interest in WeAct's market linkage services was notable, with many implementing partners expressing a desire to register.

Towards the end of his second session, Mr. Samuel discussed the future outlook for WeAct and the opportunities it offers to women registered on the platform. He emphasised the benefits of being part of WeAct, including participation in exhibitions across India, access to technological support, and information on GST and government schemes for MSMEs.

In the final session, Mr. Samuel covered the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for various trades provided to implementing partners. With approximately 20 SOPs to address, he adopted a highly interactive approach by organising activity-oriented sessions. Participants were divided into groups, each tasked with developing SOP for a specific trade. These group presentations and discussions provided valuable insights into the dos and don’ts of SOPs.

On the last day, all participants were awarded certificates recognising their successful completion of the programme. These certificates formally acknowledge their dedication and hard work throughout the ToT, reflecting their achievement of the programme's learning objectives.
